The Laingsburg Educational Advancement Foundation is a non-profit organization formed in 1992 to provide funding for innovative educational opportunities and to maintain academic excellence. Since it was founded, thanks to its many contributors, LEAF has received contributions of more than $230,000. Such positive participation signals to the foundation the community-wide support for enhancement of educational opportunities in our schools. Consistent with its goals, LEAF has provided more than 100 grants, making possible many projects and activities that are not ordinarily available in a school budget. These range from interactive software for physics to a solar energy demonstration station to an elementary school fine arts program.
The Parents Association for Laingsburg Students is an organization of concerned parents, teachers, administrators and community members who share one common goal: a successful and enriching learning experience for elementary and middle school students in the Laingsburg School District. We recruit volunteers to work in the classrooms and at school events such as Grandparent's day and open houses. We also host annual fundraisers during the school year. Through these fundraisers we are able to provide valuable supplies and equipment to the classrooms as well as fund field trips and school assemblies. Every month we meet to develop ideas and discuss how we can better serve the needs of students in our district. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the middle school media center. P.A.L.S. Volunteer Form
