Laingsburg Elementary’s 5th grade students celebrated Michigan’s 188th birthday with a “Celebrate Michigan Party.” They had a Social Studies lesson on statehood, including the two errors on our state seal. Be sure to ask one to find out if you don’t know what the are. Many thanks to the numerous parents who assisted us in making this a memorable experience. Students concluded the party with House Challenge of Michigan trivia in “Who wants to be a Michigander?”

The Young Fives Doctor’s Office is open! Our friends learned about caring for patients, asking them how they were feeling, recording their weight and height, and then treating them to get better. Some friends had their blood pressure checked and their heart listened to, while others got shots (they had their hand held!) and band aids. We took turns as an office receptionist, patients, and as medical caregivers.

Our Employee Spotlight is on our 8th grade Science Teacher, Mrs. Malaski. Everyday she works diligently to make learning fun and engaging for our students!

Mrs. Green’s 1st grade class worked on teamwork and problem solving as they created forts to enjoy with their friends, books, flashlights, and stuffed animals. Well done, class.

We had a special visitor at the ECEC today, Mr. Grinch! Mr. Grinch started off his visit with some unsafe and disrespectful choices. But, after spending time with Wolfie and our students, he learned how to be safe, respectful, and a team player. Mr. Grinch's heart grew three sizes today and he even earned a red ticket!
